Chase Design Associates, based in Tunbridge Wells, is a family run architectural design business which was established in 1987 by Leonard Price and his daughter Victoria. Leonard has been active in the building and restoration sector in operating his own business for over forty years. Victoria has now joined him, after moving from a career in the Financial Sector, to assist in administration and client liaison as the demand for Chase Designs affordable yet effective services continues to grow.

A London trained draughtsman, Leonard, has the added advantage of his construction knowledge which is reflected in his architectural drawings – what is drawn is what can be credibly built, a plan however exploratory is merely a plan unless it can be realised successfully into ‘bricks and mortar’. Again, this knowledge is invaluable at the Building Regulations stage of  the Planning Process with your local Authority. Our experience and understanding of current construction methods/trends and  the required standards and legislation is also of advantage during this process.

The portfolio we have worked on in recent years has been wide-ranging. Previous significant projects have included the renovation and conversion of large country houses - Bidborugh Court, in Bidborough near Royal Tunbridge Wells, and The Priory, in Wadhurst, - into fine high quality country houses and apartments. These properties, although providing ‘up to the minute’ facilities, were sympathetically renovated and extended in accordance with the original  listed architecture.

Currently, we are involved in two long-term major projects on country estates in the Royal Tunbridge Wells area. These both involve the sympathetic conversion of disused agricultural buildings to provide high quality housing accommodation for the local area. Although involved in this region of development, we also provide architectural services for a number of clients with smaller scale requirements. These range from loft conversions, extensions, conservatories to simple porch additions.
